Introduction to Sustainable Agriculture

This course provides an overview of sustainable agriculture and the key principles that underpin it. Students will explore the history and evolution of sustainable agriculture, its ecological and social benefits, and the challenges of implementing sustainable practices in different contexts. The course will cover topics such as soil health, crop rotation, agroforestry, and integrated pest management, and introduce students to the concept of regenerative agriculture. Students will also examine the importance of local food systems, and the role of policy and regulation in promoting sustainable agriculture.
