Soil Biology and Nutrient Cycling

This course focuses on the role of soil biology in nutrient cycling and plant growth. Students will learn about the various microorganisms that inhabit soil and their functions in breaking down organic matter and cycling nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. The course also covers the importance of soil organic matter and the benefits of building soil fertility through practices such as composting, manure management, and green manuring.
